VNX5300 UniSphere QoS Manager

Jowett

Hi,

Does anyone know how to setup QoS on the VNX 5300 system or is there any documentation that steps through how it actually configured/works?

Thanks

CJ

    Jowett,

Firstly welcome to the forum, and thank you for being an EMC customer.

In the absence of a separate white/reference paper on Powerlink, you should turn to the embedded help within Unisphere (which is also context aware from where you launch "Help").  Specifically, you will be interested in the material from the following breadcrumb trail (under the Content section):

Configuring and managing a system -> Configuring a system -> Monitoring and Alerts -> Qos Manager

You'll find helpful topics such as:

Getting Started with Quality of Service Manager

Navisphere Quality of Service Manager overview

Also, there is a very good demo online (~15 minutes) published by EMC which should get you going also.  It is a little old (heh, the narrator starts by referencing it as a "new" feature) but the interface and features haven't really changed and it is still very much relevant:

If you still have any questions, of course, do not hesitate to post another question.

This might be a bit old, it's for the Navisphere QOS package, but a lot of the basic information is the same for th VNX. The other document is the latest release notes for Unipshere QOS
