PowerPath for Windows PPME targetSelect causes Windows host to hang

Issue:

 

 

On executing the powermig selectTarget command the command prompt does not return and shortly after the Windows host hangs

Cause:

 

 

PPME powermig source device found to contain VSS-snapshots of the C-drive.                                                           

 

 

Resolution:

 

 

Manually remove the VSS snapshots and powermig targetSelect will be successful.
