VCSA root and administrator@vsphere.local user passwords are not the same                                                           

 

 

Resolution:

 

 

   

You can change administrator password by the following steps.1. log into VCSA shell2. reset administrator passwordroot@ssg242184 [ ~ ]# /usr/lib/vmware-vmdir/bin/vdcadmintool ==================Please select:0. exit1. Test LDAP connectivity2. Force start replication cycle3. Reset account password4. Set log level and mask5. Set vmdir state6. Get vmdir state7. Get vmdir log level and mask==================3  Please enter account UPN : Administrator@vsphere.localNew password is -1W3/KF>8(w<RtZ>hwl>K3. log into VCSA web client using the new password (see above example)4. following the link Home->Administration->Single Sign-On->Users and Groups->Users->Administrator-><change the password>5. log out and into VCSA with the changed password
