Issue:

Memory module (DIMM) reports INCORRECT SPEED in GUI

Cause:

This reporting issue happens because the DDR 2400 DIMM supply is being replaced with DDR 2666 DIMMs which are backward compatible.
This is only a reporting issue, and these DDR 2666 DIMMs perform as expected and present no issues.

The hardware logs show no faults, but in some of the logs (TRiiAGE_ECOM.txt), you can see “ALRT_MEMORY_INCORRECT_SPEED” which may be shown in the GUI as well.

Change:

DDR 2400 DIMM supply is being replaced with DDR 2666 DIMMs, which are backward compatible.

Resolution:

The warning/alerts can safely be ignored. It is OK to allow these higher speeds.

This reporting issue is resolved in Unity OE 5.0.
