Issue:

After upgrading an XMS to 6.2.1, Volume / LUN mapping no longer works in the GUI.

However, mapping in the XMCLI still works.

Cause:

This is caused by a code issue that occurs when a large number of tags are present on the XMS, which prevent clicking objects during a mapping operation.

Workaround

The XMCLI can still be used to map LUNs if this issue is in effect.

Additionally, tags can be removed to a point where the GUI becomes usable (note: there's no specific number, as this varies by the name length of the tags).

    Permanent Fix

The issue has been resolved in XMS version 6.2.2. To permanently resolve the issue contact DellEMC Global Support to upgrade to XMS version 6.2.2 or later.
