Issue:

Unable to configure the action or Unable to create a new DD volume to the pool fails with error "Pool <Pool name> is referenced by or being added to a "<Group name>" 'NSR action" resource so all pool devices must be on the same data domain host"

Cause:

The same Data Domain system pool used in the action contains devices from different Data Domain system host.

VMware integration guide mentions to ensure that only devices from the same Data Domain system host per Data Domain system pool when used in any Action.

Resolution:

We have two options :

Option 1 : Remove restrictions from existing pool by unchecking the devices from one of the Data Domain, that is, the pool must contain only devices from either one of the Data Domain hosts. We can add additional DD boost devices to the same Data domain if needed.

Option 2 : Create a new pool and and new DD boost devices.
