Issue:

The DPA Administrator notices some DPA reports detail the Networker vProxy backups while others do not populate the vProxy backups.

Cause:

Some DPA reports will list Networker VProxy backups when monitoring Networker without monitoring vCenter.

Other reports rely on monitoring the vCenter to capture some of the vProxy data needed to populate the report.
It depends on the design of the report and the data sources used in the report.

Review the DPA Report Reference Guide for additional details.

When monitoring just Networker, these reports are expected to list vProxy backups:
(This is a partial list, see DPA Report Reference Guide for additional reports.)
    Backup All Jobs
    Backup Report Card
    Backup Top Most Unreliable Clients
    Backup Problem Clients

Some reports  require monitoring the vCenter in order to list the vProxy backups for example:
(This is a partial list, see DPA Report Reference Guide for additional reports.)
    Backup Clients Not Backed Up
    Estimated Protected Backup Capacity

Resolution:

DPA is working as designed.

Review the DPA Report Reference Guide and the data sources for the specific report to determine if the report needs to monitor the vCenter in order to populate the vProxy backups.

Consider monitoring vCenter if specific reports you want to use requires this.
