Issue:

 

 

Unable to login due to lost user credential.                                                           

 

 

Cause:

 

 

Forget the password.                                                           

 

 

Resolution:

 

 

Scenario 1:   
    If it is able to login anyone of the users with admin role, change the password of the other users.   
   
    Scenario 2:   
    If it is unable to login anyone of the users with admin role, need to reset the password (to empty) by modifying the database.   
    a) Go to "bin" folder of CMCNE installation directory.   
    b) Double click "dbadmin.bat:" to launch pgAdmin.   
    c) Add a connection to the DB server (click the plug icon).

    d) Enter the properties to add the connection.   
    Name: whatever   
    Host: localhost or 127.x.x.x   
    Username: xxxxxx   
    Password: The DB password which is set during the installation. If it is unchanged, the default one is "passw0rd".

    e) Connect to the DB server and go to "Database-->dcmdb-->Schemas-->Tables".

    f) Select "user_" table in the right side window.

    g) Click the "View the data in the selected object" icon.

    h) Set "password character" of the user and save the change.   
    ##### For CMCNE 12.0.3/12.1.6/12.3.4/12.4.2, set the password character to '' (two single quote marks) #####   
    ##### For CMCNE 11.1.4, copy the password character of the user "(System)" #####

    i) Now the user password is set to empty. Launch CMCNE client to test login.
