VMware Validated Design 4.2 on VxRail Deployment Guides

VMware Validated Designs (VVDs) are comprehensive and extensively tested blueprints to build and operate a Software-Defined Data Center. The VMware Validated Designs provide set of prescriptive documents that explain how to plan, deploy, and operate an SDDC. Each VVD is based on a collection of individual VMware products (e.g. vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vRealize Suite), that are combined using a standardized best practices design developed by VMware.

 

With the VVD for SDDC on VxRail, customers can more easily architect, implement, and operate the complete SDDC faster and with less risk while also obtaining all of the benefits of best of breed HCI infrastructure platform.

It covers also business continuity implementation between Region A and Region B with Site Recovery Manager.

Support and VVD on VxRail

Customers who choose to implement the VVD architecture will benefit from the great support, upgrades, and serviceability that comes standard with every VxRail.  In addition, the components of the VVD (like NSX and the vRealize Suite) that are not shipped as part of the VxRail software suite continue to be fully supported by VMware.

 

Future Updates to the VVD on VxRail

VMware continues to innovate the Software Defined Data Center.  As these innovations come to market, updated versions of the VMware Validated Design will be released to guide customers toward the best way to plan, design, operate, and upgrade the SDDC.  Dell EMC is committed to updating the VVD on VxRail to keep pace with the VMware advances and give our customers the best path to stay current.
