Issue:

 

 

With a clone workflow or with the command line nsrclone results in the failure of the clone when there are multiple input volumes with the repeating message   
        

      Duplicate entries found for volume ?, specify volume by volume id   
   
    The daemon log file is also logging the error repetitively,   
        
      nsrd NSR notice Duplicate entries found for volume ?, specify volume by  volume id​     
          
    The NDMP cloning may return    
        
      Cannot find any devices to use for cloning <SSID>/<CLoneID>. Skipping cloning!           
            Error:3 operation requires at least <Number> devices           
            Failed to get mmd reservation: There are no savesets to clone, mmd reservation is skipped.
       
        There are no savesets to clone, mmd reservation is skipped.​           
            No valid input savesets - check CLONE SKIPPED SAVESETS!​
     
      No valid backend job   
   
                                                                

 

 

Cause:

 

 

Code defect. known issue: EZ 26129: Some clones failing. Getting "Duplicate entries found for volume"                                                           

 

 

Resolution:

 

 

EMC Engineering is currently investigating this problem. A permanent fix is still in progress. Contact the EMC Customer Support Center for assistance and quote this article number.   
   
    WORK AROUND: From the NMC -> EMC NetWorker Administration console -> Policies -> in the left pane right click on the name of the NetWorker server at the top of the tree -> Properties -> Configuration tab -> Disable RPS clones: in the lower left needs to be marked.
