This article answers basic questions about customer's their call home configurations for Unified arrays. The below steps can be followed to view the current configuration and determine the following common problem areas:
To view Connect Home (Call home) configuration that is current for alerts going to Dell EMC go to the top task bar > choose Systems.
On the right panel bottom pane under Service Tasks > choose Manage Connect Home for File.
Priority = Enabled indicates the connect home is enable to dial home to Dell EMC
You can also verify that you have your most current SMTP Email Server information up to date.
On the right panel bottom pane under Service Tasks > choose Manage Email User for File.
This pop-up will show you who is listed as your recipients for connect home alerts as well as the SMTP Email Server configured. You can edit this information to reflect your business needs and test your modifications by clicking the 'Test' button at the bottom of the window. The test button will send a test email to the account(s) listed in the recipient and cc email address boxes.
