Description:

A node (object) is accidentally deleted in the DPA UI.  The object can be rediscovered using the Discovery Wizard.  After rediscovering though, the older data present before deletion cannot be reported on.  All reports run against the older time frames yield no results found.

Resolution:

Once an Object is deleted in the DPA UI all historical data that was associated with that Object is lost and cannot be reloaded or re-associated to the newly created Object.  Only new data can be reported on after the Object is re-discovered (re-created) in the DPA UI. The only supported option to restoring the Object and historical data is to restore the previous state of the database prior to the deletion of the Object.  This can be done with an import from a previously exported Datastore export, that was taken prior to the deletion of the Object.
