Running the command "powermigcl config -all" gives the error "Skipped: Group contains quorum resource"

Environment:

PowerPath for Windows

Description:

C:\Program Files\EMC\PowerPath>powermig.exe setup -cluster -src harddisk4 -tgt harddisk1 -techtype hostcopy

Setup migration? [yes]/no: y

PPME error(82): The source device does not appear to have a dependent PPME resource instance

You will get the above message because the powermigcl config command was not yet run. Here is what you will see in the powermigcl display command:

C:\Program Files\EMC\PowerPath>powermigcl display

Group name         | Current owner    | Status          |

================================|=================|===================|

GROUPNAME     | SERVERNAME | Unconfigured |

Available Storage | SERVERNAME | Unconfigured |

Cluster Group       | SERVERNAME | Unconfigured |

However trying to run the powermigcl config command gives an error:-

C:\Program Files\EMC\PowerPath>powermigcl config -all

Group name: GROUPNAME

Skipped: Group contains quorum resource.

Resolution:

Due to an incorrect configuration, the "Skipped: Group contains quorum resource error occurs. Perform the below steps to correct this issue:

1. Click on the name of the cluster in the left pane.
2. In the right pane, check under the Cluster Resource Groups and make sure that quorum disk is present there.
3. Now check the resource group in the powermigcl command and check if the quorum disk is also present in that resource group.
4. If you find cluster disk in that group also, right click on the cluster disk (generally Q: drive) and click on remove from the group.
5. Now try the "powermigcl config -all" or "powermigcl config -group <groupname>" command.
