What Is SolVe Desktop?
An interactive, standalone application which generates specific, step-by-step procedures for installing and servicing your Dell EMC products.
The SolVe Desktop application can be downloaded from EMC Online Support https://support.emc.com > Click on “SolVe” from the main page.
Please note: You will need to log in to EMC Online Support site (you must be a member)
- Click the Executable and download
- Follow prompts to install.
After installation you must authenticate:
- Accept the End User License Agreement
- Drop down Authorization
- Click on – Authorize and download List of Available Products
- Click OK
- Click OPEN
How to ensure you have the latest version of SolVe Desktop?
SolVe Desktop will prompt you to update. It’s quick and you retain access to existing content.
If you weren’t prompted to update, you can manually install by going to https://solve.emc.com/desktopbinaries/setup.exe (Install in ProgramFiles)

Anything I should be aware of?
SolVe Desktop 3.x requires Microsoft .NET 4.5.1
this will be installed automatically, but can also be manually installed if required from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2859818
