This course provides insight as to how EMC Atmos is used as a cloud storage solution, including how data has evolved in recent years and how it is created, stored, and consumed today. The course introduces the concept of metadata and explains why storing data as objects has significant benefits over traditional file systems. Atmos features, functions, and capabilities are covered at a foundational level. Use cases provide an understanding of how Atmos is used and differentiated from other EMC solutions.



This course is intended for anyone responsible for selling, installing, supporting, or managing EMC Atmos.


Prerequisite Knowledge/Skills

To understand the content and successfully complete this course, a student must have a suitable knowledgebase/skill set. The student must have an understanding of computers, communication, and storage systems. An understanding of cloud foundation is also helpful.
