Solutions Enabler Event reporting for Symmetrix SRDF and SRDF/A

If there has been an event that has occurred in the symmetrix such as an SRDF/A group has dropped out of asynchronous mode, this event will be logged within the symmetrix and you may want to monitor and track these and other events to assist in root cause and general day to day Symmetirx health.

Solutions Enabler has a utility called symevent one can use to extract these events and display them in a simple easy to read manner. You can also have it output in XML format for easy integration into other reporting/event notification applications.

Command example

symevent [-sid <SymmID>] [-v] [-warn | -error | -fatal]

   monitor [-i <Interval>] [-c <Count>]

list [-start <Date:Time>] [-end <Date:Time>] [-dir]

symevent list -sid 02345  -v -start 09:00 -end 17:00
