VNXe3150 License
Hi
i bought a second hand VNXe3150 for my home lab to run tests in. But i can't obtain a license for it it says you dont have right for this device
Does anyone have the correct way to obtain a license to use for homelab or that can tell me the downside of not using a license?

Hello RubenSch,
You need a license in order to configure and use a VNXe system. In order to get the license you will need to do a change of ownership from the previous owner to your ownership. Also, you will need to purchase a warranty if still available in order to get a license for the system.

But there is no other option? i bought it from a company thats bankrupt and won it by auction ... so the company in question won't reply on me... Buying warranty for something so old isn't possible anymore

Hello RubenSch,
License for a vnx system is assigned at the time of purchase. There is no other way to get a license for a system that is not under a support contract.
