Not Able to Manage CIFS on VNX 5600
We are facing 2 issues with our CIFS on VNX
What we can
1- Add new CIFS and join to domain we can see it Active Direcorty
what we can't do
1-manage CIFS server from windows mmc , we get an error The authentication service in unknown (1747)
2- can’t grant new user access to the share folder in old CIFS (old user can access it )
note This CIFS was part of old AD and rejoined to new AD
Highly appreciated your help in fixing this issues

Hello Abdul2022,
This error message “The authentication service in unknown (1747)” is an error that is pointing to windows having an issue. Did you perform any upgrades recently to your VNX, or the host that is connected to your VNX? What is the current version of windows that you are using?
Here are a couple of links to some kb that might be of assistance. https://dell.to/3Lk8YVe

Hello MOD
I was able to manage this CIFS before , The major change was AD changing we moved from old AD to new AD but even after moving I was able to manage it
one strange behaviour users who was accessing the CIFS share can still access it but new AD user can't even after put them in the same group as old users

I don't need stand alone CIFS since we need to control share access from AD
