Disk state empty
After decommisioning of an unused CX3 storage we are reconfiguring an old CX4-120 for backup replication purpose.
CX4 had initially:
- enclosure 0 with 15 disks (450GB FC STE45085 CLAR450 disks)
- enclosure 1 with 15 disks (1TB SATA II WD1002FBCLAR1000 disks)
We are trying to switch to:
- enclosure 0 with 7 disks (450GB FC STE45085 CLAR450 disks) and 8 disks (1TB SATA II WD1002FBCLAR1000 disks)
- enclosure 1 with 15 disks (1TB SATA II WD1002FBCLAR1000 disks)
All LUN, storage groups, etc have been unbound
Drives changed one at a time
All changed 1TB drives are not regognised and slot marked as EMPTY
Can you please suggest me a command/procedure to reset/initialize the slots that doesn't recognise the 1TB drives?
The same drive inserted in enclosure 1 (same drive type and firmware) is perfectly recognized
Thanks very much
Filippo

Hello costafil,
You can’t have FC drives and SATA drives in the same enclosure.
